I hired Model City Roofing to replace my roof for $8,500 after they had previously repaired about 1/4 of it the year before. Both times, the actual roofing work was solid. The crew did a good job, the roof looks much better, and they cleaned up well afterward. However, after the full roof replacement was completed, I received an unexpected invoice for an additional $1,700 labeled as “supplements.” This charge was never discussed, approved, or included in the original quote. When I questioned it by email, they tried to move the conversation to phone calls. I made it clear I wanted everything in writing, and after that, the requests for the additional payment stopped. So - the workmanship was good, but the surprise billing attempt raises concerns. If you use this company, make sure every cost is clearly documented and agreed to in writing before the work begins and be cautious about any “after-the-fact” charges.
